These terms cover your use of the DFYFK iPhone app ("the app"), made by Logan Carrillo ("we"). The app is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these terms add a few things specific to DFYFK. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement wins. By using the app you agree to both.
DFYFK is a convenience, not a safety device. Park detection depends on your phone's sensors, permissions, battery settings and iOS, and it will sometimes miss a park or remind you at the wrong time. Never rely on the app for anything important, and never rely on it to remind you about a person or an animal in a vehicle. Always check your car yourself.
Using the app
- Don't interact with the app while driving. It's designed to work without you touching it.
- Obey traffic laws and pay attention to your surroundings when a reminder plays.
- Reminders play out loud when your ringer is on. You're responsible for using sound appropriately in public.
Your recordings
You can record your own reminder lines. Recordings are yours and stay on your device (or your own iCloud). Only record yourself, or people who have agreed to be recorded, and don't record anything unlawful.
Voices and content
The built-in voice and the voice packs are original, fictional characters created for DFYFK with AI voice tools. They are not, and don't imitate, any real person. All app content, including voices, lines, artwork and the DFYFK name and logo, belongs to us and may not be copied or redistributed outside the app.
Purchases
- Remove Ads and voice packs are one-time purchases handled by Apple. There are no subscriptions.
- Remove Ads comes with 2 voice pack vouchers. Each voucher unlocks one pack of your choice, including future packs. Vouchers have no cash value and can't be transferred.
- Purchases can be restored in the Store tab with the same Apple ID. Voucher redemptions are stored on your device and in iCloud backup if you turn it on.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Ads
The free version shows a small banner ad from Google AdMob. See the Privacy Policy for what that involves.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise that the app will detect every park, work on every device, or be free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss, damage or theft of belongings, vehicles or property, arising from your use of or reliance on the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app and in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms. If the terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, except where the law of your country requires otherwise.
